Friday Snippet #55

Are you writing NaNoWriMo and feel your pace is falling at an alarming rate? I’ve got a few solutions for you to try!

  1. Try a Dare
Now, I tend to mention the NaNo forums a lot so this shouldn’t come as a surprise.
  2. Word Wars
You can find these everywhere: the NaNo forums, Twitter, your circle of friends, anywhere with writers…
  3. Make it chunky
If 1,667 feels like too much or you’re reallyreally busy, slice it up. Write 556 words before breakfast, 556 at lunch and 556 at the commercial break of your fave TV show. You’re done!
  4. Suddenly, something random happens
If the story is really stuck and you see no way out, just start the next sentence with “Suddenly” and write the first thing that comes to mind. The crazier the better.

So, how is your NaNo going?
