I’ve had the privilege of traveling quite a bit this spring. I went to Croatia in April and then to England in May. I’ve been to Heathrow airport and Wales before, but this was my first real visit to England.
A few years ago, I knew next to nothing about Croatia. Then, thanks to Game of Thrones, I learned there was a city called Dubrovnik somewhere in there. In April I went there on a holiday and it turned out to be an amazingly beautiful country.
Today is winter solstice which means today has the shortest amount of daylight and the longest night of the year (here in the Northern Hemisphere, that is). Days will still be quite dark for a while, but that’s just a good excuse to light some candles and quiet down in preparation for Christmas.
